Was it me or did January fly by? It’s been quite a month here at Mermaid Central with a lot of ups and downs. I started my month ready to get back at it after really ‘slacking off’ since the Chicago Marathon back in October. In the first week of January I rolled my ankle and subsequently found out I had sprained it. Ouch! I am sooooo injury prone. That meant at least 4 weeks off running, a great way to start the year but it’s ok. I thought, I can swim and hit the gym to build some strength. There are always alternatives to keep you sane and keep you in the game, it’s important to remember that.
